One person has died and three others hospitalized over suspected poisoning in Bukedea District.
The deceased has been identified as Joseph Osire while those in the hospital are the deceased’s wife Matilidah Angege 55, their son Charles Awoja and Christine Apio. They are all residents of Kidongole village, Kidongole Sub County.
According to Awoja, they developed stomach complications after eating food prepared by Angege around 9 pm on Monday. They were then rushed to Bukedea Health Centre IV.
Stephen Ariong Onyait, the LCI Chairperson, says that he woke up from the house after hearing cries from Osire’s house. According to Ariong, he found Osire dead and the other victims had collapsed.
