Wakiso. Police has detained a former teacher of Step by Step School in Nansana municipality in Wakiso district for reportedly sexually abusing six girls.
The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson,Luke Owoyesigire identified the suspect as Moses Mpanga Aldo, a resident of Nansana municipality in Wakiso district.
According to Owoyesigire, the suspect is said to have committed the offences between 2019 and 2020.
Owoyesigire revealed that police have recorded statements from the parents of the victims and commenced inquiries into the matter.
“We have opened up a general inquiry file, where statement from parents of these girls have been recorded. Aldo is detained at Nansana Police station. It should be noted that Aldo has refused to give us a statement and we are making inquiries,” Owoyesigyire told URN.
