Tallies from the election of the 11th Parliamentary speaker indicate that Oulanyah scored 310 votes, Kadaga 197 while FDC’s Ibrahim Ssemujju got 15 votes.
Oulanya is the Omoro County MP, will now lead the house for the coming give years.

Kira Municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju became a distant 3rd with 15 votes.

The first sitting of the 11th Parliament was chaired by Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo and attended by President Museveni, who chairs the Central Executive committee (CEC) that three out Kadaga in favour of Oulanya.

There is worry as to how the already mocked Parliament will conduct business as Oulanya and Among Anita are seen as Museveni puppets.

After the release of the results, commentators took to different platforms claiming the fall of Kadaga was a disgrace to her.

“Unfortunately she goes disgracefully, but will be remembered as a pro people speaker in some events,” Mr. Katooko Richards told Newsday.
