Kadaga congulaculates former enemy and now her boss Nabbanja on new role

Former Parliament Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has conguraculated the Hon Robina Nabbanja (pictured above), the First Female Prime Minister of Uganda upon her appointment.

“Congratulations and May the Lord guide you on this journey,” Kadaga write on her tweeter.

Parliament vetted Nabbanja on Monday and she officially assumed her office, replacing Dr Ruhakana Rugunda. Ms Nabbanja is the former State Minister for Health in-charge of General Duties.

The Vice President Ms Jessica Alupo, was also confirmed as Vice president, taking over from Mr Edward Ssekandi.

President Museveni said that Alupo and Nabbanja were the best choice to advance his vision for the country.

Kadaga was also vetted as deputy Prime minister and minister for East African Affairs.

Kadaga and Nabbanja were foes in the runner up to the election of the speaker.
