KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: The biological mother to the wife of the state minister of Finance, Planning and economic development Amos Lugolobi as said her daughter wants to “kill me” over a family estate row.
All in tears, Mary Bwogi an NRM mobilizer and a widow to the late former UTV director Bwogi who was butchered by Idi Amin has appealed ro president Museveni for help ” before my own daughter finishes me off over property”.
Her daughter on the spot is Evelyn Nakimera, wife to Ntenjeru MP and state minister for finance, Amos Lugoloobi.
” I request President Museveni to help save my life. My daughter Evelyn Nakimera wife to Hon Lugolobi and other enemies are determined to kill me. Strange people are following me , others threaten my residence especially now that I no longer have police guards’ said the ailing NRM staunch mobilizer who is suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and other complications.
Bwogi is currently facing jail if court deems fit after her daughter Mrs Nakimera filed a case of forgery against her mother.
Some of the property under Bwogi care but much of which has now been caveated by Nakimera include a house, at Block 10 Plot 62, at Nakulabye and square Mike’s of Land in Luwero and Mityana.
Nakimera has instituted a case at Buganda Road court registered as CR-409/2017,Uganda vs Mary Bwogi and Balintuma her other son stems from a complaint at police that the two forged Nakimera’s signature to reach an understanding as requested by high court judge Mukiibi as the two parties were bickering over a family estate.
However Bwogi says that the case is a guise for Nakimera to torture her and even delay multiple compesations in billions of shillings accruing from UNRA, UMEME and other agencies who leased or used the contentious family estates .
” Am now sick but cannot meet medication because all money has been blocked by Nakimera directly or through these bogus endless cases. The child I mothered and nursed through the tough times of Amin because her daddy left her about four months now wants me dead . My son in law her husband is also an accomplice, keeping quiet when my daughter wants to finish me off” said Bwogi to near tears.
At court last Thursday, the case before her worship Doreen Kalungi of court 5, sitting was extended to 12th November , after Bwogi’s new lawyers of Nakanwagi and co advocates asked court to give them time to study the details of the matter.
Bwogi’s family is embroided in a deep estates low between Nakimera on one side and her mother and with the three surving children.
The family inherited a vast estate with mailo land in Entebe, Nakulabye, Luweero, Mityana and Mpigi running way back from the prominent Buganda chief Balituntuma from whom Balintuma road connecting Nakulabye to Bulange was named. Balintuma was the great grand father of Mary Bwogi’s late husband, Bwogi who inherited all this property which has split the family.
