It is alleged that when the bouncers grabbed him by the collars he attempted to resist “and this how he slid off their hands and landed onto the ground, causing injuries to the skull”

He was initially taken to Lisa Clinic owned by former gender State minister Nakiwala Kiyingi. He was later taken to Mengo hospital where he received a surgery.

The bar owner now faces a double jeopardy. The late lawyer has been his counsel in a case where the businessman is acussed of reportedly knocking dead two bodaboda cyclists. The lawyer is also now dead, with a cause from his bar.

A send off requiem mass for Lawyer Kanaalo is due later today at Namugongo Martyrs Shrine.

Police haven’t yet commented on the matter. Salaamu Musumba has now taken up the matter to pursue justice for his brother.

The  FDC deputy Secretary general Kaija Harold confirmed Kanaalo died as a result of blood clot.

“A brain surgery was done on Friday but unfortunately he couldn’t make it out of the Intensive Care Unit”, Kaija said
