As the month of October winds down, the trending news is still about the terrorism acts in Uganda. A section of Ugandans want Government to explain how they made use of the French and United Kingdom’s warnings on October 14 that we were about to get terror attacks. Opposition has also weighed in with the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba today at a Press Conference at Parliament tasking Government to explain how they have been utilizing the massive amount of funds appropriated to Defence and Security sectors. Mpuuga called upon society to help in the fight against terrorism but also cautioned members of society not to allow to be used in playing politics in the name of fighting Terrorism. The Nyendo-Mukungwe MP also wondered who to believe between the Army, Police and President since they all sound as contradicting one another.
Speaker of Parliament has informed Parliament that everything is being done to see to it that their fellow MP Muhammad Ssegirinya gets the medical treatment required.

Rev. Canon John Wilson Nandaah has been elected the next Bishop of Mbale Diocese. He will be consecrated and enthroned on 5th December at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Mbale, and will succeed the Rt. Rev. Patrick Gidudu who has been Bishop since 2008.
