KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY:  Vaccination is taking place at Bulange Mengo, a drive organized by the Kingdom of Buganda, Ministry of Health and Uganda Breweries Ltd. Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are being jabbed for the first and second doses, as well as Sinovac.

Uganda since March this year administered 3.3 million doses of different vaccines and officials are vaccination of close to five million people ahead of the full reopening of the economy in January.  Uganda has registered 126,492 COVID-19 infections since the first case of the virus was registered last March 2020. At least 96,845 have fully recovered while 3,226 died. Others remain active and are admitted to different health units. The test positivity rate remains at 1.4%.
