KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: Two bodies have so far been recovered after an explosion on Parliamentary Avenue.
Reports from Mulago National Referral Hospital emergency unit tell of horrific scenes with over 20 injured people. Ambulances continue to deliver the injured.
Journalists at the scenes of the blasts at Parliament Avenue and Kooki near CPS in Kampala are talking of human flesh and remains scattered around the areas. Journalists are being told to leave the scenes.
At parliament, security is continuing to evacuate legislators and parliament staff.
Earlier on vehicles were burning and smoke billowing in Kampala’s space.
Security is forcing city dwellers to leave the city while some people are leaving voluntarily.
The latest bomb attacks started on October 26 at Komamboga followed by another in which a suspected bomber died at a Swift coach bus at Lungala.
Police has so far netted more than twenty suspects, some arraigned in court. Police say the terror cell in Uganda is cconnected to Islamic State linked- Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
Uganda had got a lull from terror activities since July 2010, 74 people were killed after Al Shabab terrorists blew up revellers during a World Cup final match.
Another explosion earlier went off near the Central Police Station in Kampala.
Meanwhile the deputy speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among asked legislators to stay home and suspended sittings until further notice.
Her decision follows suspected bomb explosions that devastated parts of the city at Kooki House near CPS and Jubilee Insurance Building that also houses the Inspector General of Government offices.
Many people are believed injured and killed but one hour after the incidents, police has not issued a statement.
