Powerful bomb detonated at Lugoba in Kampala

KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWADAY: A powerful bomb has been detonated at Lugoba in Kawempe Division.

Suspected terrorists had left it at under a tree in a highly populated residential along Jinja Karoli road.

Vigilant residents informed the police about an abandoned bag. Later on a bomb squad arrived with sniffer dogs and the bomb was detonated.

The latest detonation adds to others on Monday that were detonated. Other two went off killing three people and three suicide bombers. The terror cell in Uganda is suspected to be linked to Islamic state which yesterday claimed it carried out the Kampala attacks.
