KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: Mityana municipality MP Francis Zaake’s left arm was left fractured after an attack on him in Kayunga on Tuesday by SFC Soldiers.
His doctor Brian Mumbere said in a report that Zaake Suffered a distal radio ulnar fracture on the left arm, soft tissue injury following assault and mild head injury.
Zaake’s beating on Tuesday made it the fourth after incidents in Arua in August 2018, food distribution in 2020 and the togikwatako saga in 2017; was attacked by the Special Forces Soldiers who were being commanded by a Colonel.
Witnesses said Zaake was plucked out of his white landcruiser and battered in the face of his police guards at Total Petro Station in Kayunga.
There is tension in Kayunga following campaigns in the by elections of the LC V chair tomorrow. President Museveni visited the district and he said no one else can make take a different decision other than his NRM party.
