KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: Former Kawempe South Member of Parliament has attacked National Unity Platform leader, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine for “betraying” Ugandans.

“How do you tell people that Museveni is a dictator, a murderer yet the same people are seeing you every day at your beach in an expensive yacht relaxing with your wife while music is blaring?” Munyagwa asked.

Munyagwa said that Bobi Wine has forgotten about the struggle and instead dedicated his time to global travels and throwing or attending parties.

“No one can trust you with such behavior. That’s betrayal,” Munyagwa said adding “these acts will bring people anger against the said opposition”.

Munyagwa said that it is ridiculous to claim Museveni is murderous yet Bobi Wine and his wife are often seen

“Someone has a relative who was arrested because of you and you are on your boat relaxing. Do you think the whites are stupid when you go telling them Museveni is murdering you while they are seeing pictures and videos of you in boats and parties every time?” he said.

Munyagwa’s latest rants add to last week’s criticism against the leader of opposition Mathias Mpuuga for declaring the opposition would not return to parliament unless government assures nationals of human rights protection.

“NUP has lost direction and cannot be trusted to overthrow Museveni. Some NUP members have already bought houses in the US. They are heavily funded by the regime. It’s a pity,” Munyagwa alleged.

Our enquiries for a rejoinder on Munyagwa’s allegations had not yet received response from NUP officials. But recently, LoP Mpuuga referred to Munyagwa as a desperate jobless man who during his tenure COSASE leader failed to produce a single report.
