KABALE-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: A woman has been taken into custody in Kabale for reportedly causing the death of his husband after a fight.
The dead man has been identified as Richard Ngabirano a resident of Bwahi cell, Kyonyo ward, Katuna town council, Kabale district, Police said his wife Patience Kyabasasaki 37 years hit him with a stick.
Ngabirano died on Wednesday evening. The wife picked a quarrel and later a fight when Ngabirano returned home allegedly drunk.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says Kyabasasaki confessed to police when she went to report herself on Saturday morning, that she had hit the deceased with a stick on the legs and arms thereby causing them to swell.

” When I returned home on Saturday morning, I found the husband dead in bed,” Maate quoted the wife as telling police.
“She reported the matter at Katuna police station and Kabale Central police station was accordingly notified. Scene was visited and processed, body conveyed to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for postmortem and the said wife arrested to assist in investigations, ” Elly Maate said.
