Kampala-UGANDA/NEWSDAY; Chief Justice Alphose Owiny Dollo has run to Mengo to officially seek for forgiveness after his ridiculing comments against Baganda and Kabska Ronald Mutebi.

Dollo arrived at Bulange on Thursday morning and was welcomed to the Katikkiro Charles PETER Mayiga.

In comments last week at the vigil for Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, the of , Owiny-Dollo, rebuking what he called “lumpens…wicked” Baganda elements who demonstrated over Oulanyah’s travel abroad for specialised medicat attention attacked the Kabaka and Baganda.

“But your ethnic leader, you, you, you who were demonstrating, your ethnic leader was transported in a presidential jet to Germany using public funds. He was not entitled. You did not demonstrate…only a wicked person can fight a person who is fighting for his life, only a super wicked person can fight the dead. For us, it is an abomination which has no name.”

His comments were welcomed by backfire that forced him two days later to issue a statement apologizing to Kabaka Mutebi.

“I hereby unequivocally, unreservedly, and of my free volition, wholly retract that reference; and also hereby, tender my apology to His Majesty, the Kabaka. I will immediately hereafter communicate to the Katikkiro of Buganda in writing, registering this apology,” he said in a statement.

During their meeting, Mr. Mayiga said he would deliver Dollo’s apology to the Kabaka is is currently in Europe for medication and other duties.
