Mbale-Uganda/Newsday. Three people have been confirmed killed as floods led to an overflow of  River Nabuyinga.

Several vehicles have been swept and many people are still missing.

It follows heavy rains that started on Saturday night until about 7am on Sunday.

Parts of Mbale city including Namabasa, Busajabwankuba, Busamaga, Nkoma, Milo taano among others have been left devastated.

 Three people have so far been recovered after Namatala and Nashibiso rivers burst their banks.
