LUWERO-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: A huge manhunt by a joint team of security personnel has been launched after the killing of a private security guard by unknown assailants.
He was attacked, shot at and instantly died with his gun stolen in Wobulenzi town council in Luwero District at 12:30pm on Wednesday.
He was a guard attached to Sharon Security Company guarding at Advance Smart Micro Finance in Modern Zone in Wobulenzi town.
Several security people have been gunned down in a similar manner, mostly in the evening or wee hours of morning, and their guns stolen in recent months. However, this is the first the attack has taken place in broad daylight in a long time.
