The Ugandan High Commissioner to Kenya, Dr Hassan Wasswa Galiwango, has passed on.
This was announced by the Minister for East African Community Affairs, Rebecca Kadaga in a tweet on Monday.
“It is with great sadness that I announce the death of H.E Dr Galiwango, High Commissioner of Uganda to Kenya, which occurred this morning,” Kadaga tweeted.
NRM spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa also confirmed the sad news from family sources.
Before being appointed High Commissioner, Galiwango worked as Director of Finance at the National Resistance Movement secretariat.
Galiwango is husband to Mbale Woman MP Connie Galiwango.
He is also owner of Mbale Progressive Secondary School.
The cause of Galiwango’s death will be announced by the family later.
