KAMPALA-UGANDA/ NEWSDAY: Anti-homosexual crusader Solomon Male has renewed claims against Lubaga Miracle Centre boss Pastor Robert Kayanja naming him as Uganda’s homosexual kingpin.

Male’s latest allegations re-echo those he and other colleagues made against Pastor Kayanja between 2008 and 2009, through an organization called the National Coalition Against Homosexuality and Sexual Abuses in Uganda where youth openly claimed they had been sexually abused by Kayanja.

But in what Pastor Male claimed was a conspiracy by the police’s CID and pastor Kayanja, the accusations against Kayanja turned against the accusers and in 2012, him along Pr Martin Sempa, Pr Kyazze, Pr Kaira, Deborah Kyomuhendo and David Mukalazi were prosecuted and convicted.

“This was done with all the impunity. We were accused of conspiracy to tarnish Pr. Robert Kayanja’s reputation. I witnessed systems used and abused. But one day when I am still alive and this government gone, Kayanja will be prosecuted. I document everything,” Male says.

Male told Newsday, the actions of Pastor Kayanja continue undeterred because he has protection from top officials.

Part of Male’s evidence are medical reports he alleges were made confirming sodomy on some of the youth who then accused Kayanja.

“I have all evidence to prosecute Kayanja- video recordings of his accusers giving accounts are available. Witnesses are still living. He will face justice,” Male says.

Male also accused legislators of desiring to deflate the existing anti homosexuality laws by introducing a new one. Currently the Penal Code Act (Cap 120) already handles the vice of homosexuality with Section 145 on un-natural sex offenses criminalizing homosexuality sex activity.

“It specifically a person who has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature and or has carnal knowledge of an animal- permits a male person to have carnal knowledge of him or her against the order of nature commits an offense and is liable to imprisonment for life.” Male says
