Police said the taxi was heading to Kagadi from Kyenjojo while the trailer was coming from the opposite direction.

Police also said the three passengers who were in the trailer as well as four others from the taxi were critically injured and admitted to Kagadi Hospital.

Julius Hakiza, the police spokesperson for Albertine region, said the trailer was in dangerous mechanical condition yet it was speeding.
