KAMPALA. The situation at the home of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) in Najjanankumbi turned bloody as goons hired by the party turned onto journalists and thumped them to pulp.
According to Sudhir Byaruhanga, one of the journalists at the scene, a female intern was punched and her phones stolen by the FDC goons.
“Goons from FDC headquarters have unleashed terror against journalists,” Byaruhanga who also posted a video of the crying intern said.
“One of the interns has been injured and phones were stolen in about 2 minutes of action orchestrated by a gang that targeted journalists and some party members who were denied access,” he added.
Canary Mugume, another journalist, added: “Goons from inside the #FDC party headquarters assault journalists waiting outside the party office gate as Police looks on.”
“They caused chaos for about 20 minutes and walked freely back inside the FDC office in Najjanankumbi,” Mugume added.
