KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: The State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SH-ACU) with the Uganda Police Force have arraigned Rusoke Elijah Martin before the KCCA Chief Magistrates Court on charges of Obtaining Money by False Pretense and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
In 2022, Rusoke and others still at large allegedly presented themselves as members of the NRM Special contracts committee on Presidential tasks, a nonexistent committee and duped a Kenyan company it had won a contract to supply generators in various hospitals that were allegedly under construction in the country.
Rusoke now joins Mr. Muwonge who was arrested, charged and arraigned in court last year after they defrauded USD 361,151 approximately over UGX1.37B.
The Kenyan investors own a company dealing in the supply of electrical appliances for big projects.
Muwonge was freed on bail while Rusoke who has been sent to Luzira Prison will return to court on 12/09/2023.
