ADF COMMANDER ‘BAGHDAD’ PUT OUT OF ACTION

A notorious commander of the Allied Democratic Forces rebel group known as ‘Baghdad’ was killed  Early this week in forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo (Thursday, 4th April 2024) in an operation by the joint Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces/Armed Forces of  in the ongoing Operation code-named “Shujaa.”

UPDF’s mobile squad under the 3 Mountain Battalion, operating together with FARDC troops, killed ‘Baghdad’ in the areas of Ambusire, Northwest of Tingwe, 16.5 km from Elengeti Town in Ituri province.

The notorious ADF commander is said to have been born in Kyazanga, greater Masaka, in Southwestern Uganda.
