  • AUTHORITIES in Bunyoro sub region have charged a wealthier businessman for allegedly grabbing land.

Francis Kahwa was arrested by a joint force of Uganda police and State House Anti Corruption Unit headed by Brig Gen Henry Isoke after recieving multiple complaints from the general public.

Upon his arrest the office of the DPP found reasonable grounds to charge him.

He was arraigned before the Magistrates Court, Buliisa district on charges of forgery & uttering false documents, making false declarations to various government entities in a bid to grab prime public land measuring 500 acres in Butiaba.

He has been remanded until 20/08/2024.

Further investigations are ongoing into similar allegations in relation to how he acquired the huge chunks of land in Bunyoro region.

Court was packed with victims of his actions most of whom thought he will never face the law.
