THE United Nations has cautioned the international community and Ugandans in general to be more vigilant saying Uganda faces potential terrorist attacks.
The UN has equally collaborated it’s information with Uganda’s security agencies to swart any possible attacks just in case their intelligence is anything to go by.
In a strong security advisory letter to the international community and Ugandans, the UN said that unconfirmed intelligence reports indicate that terrorists may want to carry out attacks in Kampala.
The letter advises that places of high gatherings of any sort and those with lose security must be avoided.
It said that terrorists groupings sometimes tend to disrupt peace as the world draw closer to September 11th American attacks.
However a security source said security agencies in Uganda are always on standby to defend the country and warned any body who may want to disrupt peace not to dare.
