THERE was drama in Kamuli district, when police and supporters of First Deputy Prime minister Rebecca Kadaga ejected her rival from Kadaga’s function.
The dramatic scene unfolded at Nawanyago Primary School during the launch of the Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga (RAK) initiative, when police and supporters removed Kamuli District Female Youth Councillor Noet Nangobi from the event.
The incident, which took place on Friday, October 4, 2024, occurred as Kadaga, who has been Kamuli District Woman Representative since 1996, presided over the launch of her initiative aimed at improving the lives of the people of Kamuli.
Witnesses report that Nangobi, who is seen as a political rival to Kadaga, was surrounded by police officers and escorted out amidst cheers from Kadaga’s supporters.
