According to police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke, the accused may not be presented before court today as had earlier on been anticipated.

A police source told our Media that investigations are still going on but ruled out any move to release the three on police bond.

It’s alleged that police was moving fast to get details before the office of the DPP can sanction the files for the suspect to get charged before court.

Kisaka and her former co-workers were yesterday detained at Nateete police station after they were grilled for hours at police CID headquarters in Kibuli.

The trio were summoned over the weekend to be quizzed about issues which led to Kiteezi land fill catastrophe.

President Museveni fired Kisaka and others recently following IGG report which implicated them.

Museveni further instructed the police CID department and other criminal agencies to institute criminal charges against the sacked bosses.

The Kiteezi land fill collapsed killing over 35 people and displacing many others.

Investigations by IGG, police and other relevant bodies indicate that KCCA top bosses acted with gloss negligence leading to the catastrophe.

Immediately after the incident, the Lord mayor Hajj Erias Lukwago accused the top leadership of KCCA technical wing saying the disaster was an accident in waiting.
