SACCO Money Lands Two Bududa Officials In Court , Remande

THE anti graft agencies in the country have arrested and arraigned before court two officials for mishandling Parish Development Model Funds(PDM).
These agencies were led by State House Anti Corruption Unit , Uganda police and the office of the DPP.
The two suspects namely , Wakoko Kassim and Nakhaima Francis were Thursday morning arraigned before the Bududa Chief Magistrates Court on charges relating to mishandling Parish Development Model funds in Bududa District.
Court heard that Wakoko Kasim the Parish Chief Bunandutu, obtained money by false pretences after he defrauded millions of shillings from several beneficiaries of the Bunandutu PDM SACCO members claiming in guise of processing their funds where as not.
Similarly, Nakhaima Francis was charged with making false claims by officials.
It was alleged that Nakhaima and others still at large, who public service employees were expected to file returns and furnish correct statements regarding Bumakita PDM SACCO funds but instead made false entries and returns by registering persons who were not beneficiaries of the same parish.
They have been remanded until 5/11/2024.
