Kisaka , her former deputy engineer David Luyimbazi and former public healthy director Daniel Okello were arraigned before a magistrates Court in Kasangati and charged with negligence leading to death of over thirty people and property.

They denied the charges and were remanded to Luzira.

Kisaka and her former co-workers were on Wednesday detained at Nateete police station after they were grilled for hours at police CID headquarters in Kibuli.

On Thursday police searched their homes to gather more evidence in order to have them charged.

The trio were summoned over the weekend to be quizzed about issues which led to Kiteezi land fill catastrophe.

President Museveni fired Kisaka and others recently following IGG report which implicated them.

Museveni further instructed the police CID department and other criminal agencies to institute criminal charges against the sacked bosses.

The Kiteezi land fill collapsed killing over 35 people and displacing many others.

Investigations by IGG, police and other relevant bodies indicate that KCCA top bosses acted with gloss negligence leading to the catastrophe.
