A poem composed by a local journalist who covered some of the works of the fallen Bishop is taking friends ,church and social media by storm.
The journalist , Mr Angel Lubowa, a catholic who served in some local tabloids for some time said he often covered the fallen Bishop at various points with in his diocese and loved his works and preachings let alone his way of life.
With news of his demise he said he had nothing but a small poem in his memory.
The former Bishop was laid to rest on Thursday 17,October,2024 at Namirembe Cathedral church yard .
Below is the poem:
SAMUEL SSEKADDE
RISE AND SHINE IN HEAVEN
In the quiet church yard
The Angels line up
And so are your formers
The departed servicemen
To welcome you
To comfort you
To lead you
To deliver you
To the Lord you served
Samuel , Samuel , Samuel
Rise up ,shine in Heaven
Rise up over your deeds
Rise up over your pastoral
Rise up over your mercies
Rise up over endeavors
Rise up over your Diocese
We mourn you not
We cry not
We worry not
We burried you not
For God took you to house
For your great works done
For your role cultivated
For in peace you met God
For live with your God
For live in eternity
Rise up and shine in Heaven ,Samuel Ssekadde
( Poem written by Angel Lubowa)
