Kasirye Elias was rescently arrested by detectives from the State House Anti Corruption Unit together with the Uganda police after multiple complaints about his dealings were recieved.

For his alleged actions, Kasirye who mostly operates in Lukaya was on Monday 28th,October 2024 arraigned before the Masaka chief Magistrate and slapped with four charges.

These included malicious damage, forceful entry, unlawful eviction and theft.

According to prosecution, in 2021, the accused connived with the dsughters of the late Lukwago Francis and forged an agreement which they back dated to 2018 making. it look like the deceased had sold to him ( Kasirye) a kibanja with eucaly ptus trees with an aim of disenfrachising Mr Paul Walakira the rightful occupant of the alleged land.

Court heard further that Kasirye went ahead to use the alleged forged sale agreement to process a land tittle.

And prosecution alleged that in June this year, without coury order or decree, he unlawfully evicted Walakira, cut down his trees, sold them.off and graded the entire land changing its status.

He denied the charges and court remanded him until November5, 2024 when he will be brought back to face his charges.
