Kampala Parents School woke up to shock after teachers of the City Mogul Sudhir Ruparellia-owned facility went on strike over non-payment of salaries.
The teachers claimed their Indian counterparts were earning much more compared to the peanuts they were taking home.
The Indian counterparts reportedly earn more than Sh3m compared to less than Sh600,000 earned by Ugandan teachers.
“We cannot accept this kind of discrimination. Even the food we eat is cheap compared to that of the Indian teachers,” one of the teachers shouted.
“In fact the food they are giving us is very poor yet the parents keep on paying. Can you Imagine in a Sudhir school, a teacher getting Sh200,000?” another shouted.
“Wabula Omuyindi asigala Muyindi…why is Sudhir not paying Kampala Parents teachers?? I don’t think it’s a money problem…it’s just that thing that they love to see people suffer,” commented a social media activist.
