How Nakayima Ghost Killed 5 People In Goddess Festivities

TENSION id high in Mubende district most especially around Nakayima’s tree shrine after the goddess struck killing people.
The unfortunate incident happened last night as traditionist carried out their annual night festivities.
The goddess is known among the Bagsnda and Banyoro as well as other traditionist to be providing power , fertility, strength and blessings among others.
According to eye witnesses, one of the huge tree branches fell off as festivities were going on killing over four people.
According to police which has temporarily stopped such festivities to investigate the possible cause, December is atop attraction months for traditionist at this shrine.
But some traditionist say the goddess was being messed by some people who come with ill intentions while others indulge in sexual activities during festivities which is a taboo.
Nakayima Tree, known as Nakayima tree shrine or Nakayima witch tree, or ” Embuga ya Nakayima” is an ancient historical tree and cultural heritage site in Mubende District in Uganda.
It is among the oldest tree in Uganda with its age over 350 years
