Buganda Mourns Former Speaker Nelson Kawalya

BUGANDA is mourning the untimely death of rotarian Nelson Kawalya who served as Buganda Lukiiko speaker for years and also served the kingdom in other capacities.

Kawalya who a couple of days ago celebrated his fifty years of marriage died Tuesday morning in Mengo hospital.

According to his son, Victor Ssenteza , his father was taken to the medical facility after complaining of general body weakness.

Kawalya a resident of Lubaga in Kampala has been a notable rotarian spearheading various rotary projects.

He has served his King and Kingdom religiously according to Mmengo information minister, Kazibwe Kitooke saying The Kingdom will dearly miss him”.

By press time burial arrangements were still under way.
