Two people Christopher Katabalwa and Monica Mirembe are being held for the act.

According to police officer, Kigenyi Basalirwa, the children were being transported by taxis.

The suspects are alleged to have convinced parents and guardians that the minors were going to benefit from an educational scholarships.

Most of the saved children were from Central Uganda district of Wakiso.

It’s alleged that the children were destined to Kenyan wealthier traders who would use them as maids and domestic slaves.

Children trafficking is rampart in Uganda as some parents are too poor to afford education or are naive of the vice.
