KANUNGU
The general secretary for Kanungu PDM Imprisoned will be spending a considerable time in prison for cheating the Sacco customers.
Kamugisha William the Secretary central ward , Kambuga PDM SACCO in Kanungu District was Tuesday 11 February arraigned before the Kanungu Magistrates Court and charged with Obtaining Money by False pretence.
Court heard that the accused has been
soliciting money from hundreds of PDM beneficiaries by falsely informing them that it is a requirement before one benefits from the program, where as not.
Considering the number of beneficiaries he wronged and personal reflection he didn’t waste the court’s time so he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Court there fore convicted and sentenced to imprisonment.
His parading in court followed his arrest by officials from the State House Anti corruption unit working with Uganda and the DPP ‘s office.
