Court in Kamuli yesterday handed a 20 Years in Jail sentence to : Kevina Nabirye for cutting off Mathias Beamiki’s manhood .
Kamuli Chief Magistrate’s Court sentenced Nabirye, a mother of four, to 20 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to attempted murder for severing her husband’s genitals.
Court heard that on the night of February 18, 2025, at around 11pm, Nabirye attacked her husband, Mathias Bwamiki, at their marital home in Buguwa village, Kamuli District.
She reportedly accused him of infidelity and poor performance in bed before committing the gruesome act.
In his judgment on Wednesday, February 26, Chief Magistrate Paul Owino emphasized the severity of the crime and the permanent harm inflicted on the victim.
Bwamiki is currently recovering at Kamuli General Hospital, where medical experts have stated that he may never regain conjugal rights, as his penis was completely severed in the attack.
