Shoch has engulfed Serinya PS in Masaka city after lightening killed a teacher , injuring two others and some pupils.

The incident happened Wednesday morning during a downpour.

The school has temporarily been closed by management to reconstruct the damaged structures and allow the pupils to settle.

According to eyewitness, a science teacher, Mr Mutaawe died instantly while two others got injured and are admitted.

About 15 pupils were also rushed to Kitovu hospital but medics said they were simply affected by shock.

The school administration said the burial arrangements for the fallen teacher was underway in his home district of Rakai and that schooling would commence soon.

The school is basically operating only day sessions.
