The new ISO Director General, Mr . Arthur Mugyenyi has been among the most reliable and vibrant director at the Internal Security Organization (ISO).

Born from Kiruhura district, Mugyenyi has come a long way from grass root structures climbing head ISO major works in Mbarara, Kabale and Kisoro district before serving at the organization’s headquarters in Kampala.

His succeeding the late Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka, who passed away on January 29, 2025.

President Museveni on April 1st, 2025 named Mr Mugyenyi the new ISO Director General and will be deputized by Mr . Tony Kinyera Apecu.

Those who know Mr Mugyenyi say he is humble and hard working with vast experience who was served major purposes at various institutions including the institution of Parliament.

According to a statement from State House on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Kinyera will be Deputy Director replacing Col. Emma Katabazi, who has been appointed Deputy Ambassador.
