KAMPALA
Dr Kiiza Besigye’s lawyer and namesake Mr Eron Kiiza who Court martial sentenced to Kitalya last year over contempt has been granted bail by the High Court.
He was granted a cash bond of Shs 20 million and ordered to deposit his passport with the court as part of the conditions for his release.
This followed an application for bail made by Kiiza’s legal team, which was granted by the presiding judge after considering the arguments presented in his favor.
Meanwhile Dr Besigye and his friend Hajj Obeid Lutale are awaiting their own bail judgement on April 11,2025 as court promised.
