The suspects forged academic documents of UNEB and transcripts from leading universities, Makerere inclusive but the secret was unearthed by State House Anti Corruption Unit.

KAMPALA

The anti corruption agencies headed by State House Anti Corruption unit working with both police and office of the DPP , Monday 14, 2025
arraigned Mr Wampero Samuel, an accountant at Nakawa Vocational Institute, before the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Court on charges of forgery and uttering false documents.

Court heard that the accused allegedly forged academic documents, including UCE and UACE certificates from the Uganda National Examination Board, as well as a diploma and bachelor’s transcripts of various universities.

These institutions which he affected included Makerere University Business School, and Kyambogo University basically.

He presented these documents to the Education Service Commission in 2004 with the intention to deceive and defraud in order to secure employment with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

He denied the charges and was remanded until April 22, 2025.
