The operation to fight graft by State House Anti Corruption unit working together with Uganda police and the DPP’s office has led to the arrest of two Officials in Ntungamo.
The two District Local Govt Officials were arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court on charges of Abuse of Office, Emblezzlement, Criminal Conspiracy and Electronic fraud.
Mr Gadala Rogers (Accountant) and Ssozi Denis (Municipal Planner) allegedly stole their colleagues passwords and fraudulently made payments through IFMS, totalling UGX 33,462,788 to their personal accounts.
They both denied the charges and were remanded until 6th May 2025.
