An official from the ministry of lands is under fire for allegedly acquiring and criminal trespassing on people’land in Kakumiro.
According to a letter written by Pearl anti corruption initiative (PACI), Mr Jjuuko Richard an under secretary in the ministry of lands illegally took over land on Block 333 plot no 58 at Kijwenge in Kakumiro district.
In the August 22 letter, PACI which does monitoring work across government and non governmental bodies wants the relevant anti corruption bodies the office of the IGG inclusive to act.
They quoted Mr Livingstone Bukumira of Bumbare village LC 1 in Kakumiro who said that land measuring about 1618770 hectares which he occupies was a registered property of Kasakambogo group.
They complained that they acquired a land tittle in 2017 but the same tittle was cancelled in 2023 only for his to emerge as the new owner.
They said they want justice. The under secretary Mr Jjuuko wax yet to react to the said accusations.
