KAMPALA
The Chief Magistrate’s Court in Isingiro has convicted Ayebare Isma, former Chairperson of Rwakakoore “A” PDM SACCO in Rwanjogyera Subcounty, Isingiro District.
Ayebare was sentenced a fine of UGX 1M, and further ordered to compensate the victims he extorted. Failure of which he will serve three years in prison.
During his tenure as Chairperson, Ayebare fraudulently obtained money from hundreds of peasants by falsely claiming that payment of money to him was a requirement for them to benefit from the Parish Development Model (PDM) program.
He was arrested and charged on 31st July 2024 by the no nonsense SH_ACU working with other anti graft agencies and brought to book.
