The Ugandan UAE visa seekers who have had a month or so of slowed process or denials are concerned that things will get tougher after UAE included Uganda on its 2027 visa ban.
Current Media reports indicate that Uganda has been slammed by new UAE visa ban restricting job seekers and visitors from accessing the Arab country.
Other countries include Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Lebanon, Yemen, Bangladesh, Sudan and Cameroon respectively.
This comes to find Uganda seeking to travel to UAE already complaining of delays, denials or keeping them in suspense lately when they apply for travel documents.
The travel companies for now weeks have been passin over Visa applications and the corresponding fees but no viable Visa’s would be issued out to many applicants.
‘At first I thought the problem was Dubai and put fresh applications to Abu Dhabi but still didn’t succeed ” said Mr Michael Kitendo.
He said he was not surprised when he learned of the visa ban development.
However Ugandan and UAE officials were by yesterday dismissed the visa ban as tumours saying no such official communication had been received from the UAE government.
The alleged ban comes at a time when BBC has just released an investigation alleging a sex-trafficking ring in Dubai involving Ugandan national Charles “Abbey” Mwesigwa.
