A businessman in Kyenjojo and Kampala who has been on wanted over multiple alleged cases was finally arrested.
Mr Mugisha Vincent was arrested in an operation led by SHACU working with Uganda police and presented to court.
He was arraigned before Kyenjojo Chief Magistrate’s Court and charged with cases of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses and Cheating.
Mugisha Vincent, who has long been subject of numerous land disputes in the region, with various cases reported at Kyenjojo Police Station, of his involvement in land grabbing in areas of Ganyinayo village , Kihuura Sub county in Kyenjojo district, was arrested in relation to a case of fraud.
It was alleged that between March and September 2025, in Kyenjojo District and Kampala City, Mugisha allegedly defrauded Kababiito Sylvia of Ugx 11,000,000 by falsely pretending that he was selling her cattle when, whereas not.
Investigations are also ongoing into alleged reports of land grabbing, trespassing, and causing malicious damage by Mugisha through which he has taken over many people’s land.
