The shocking incident has taken NUP, relatives and neighbours by storm especially that her husbands whereabouts remain unknown up to now.

Monicah Nabukeera Kibalama’s body was found in her bashroom in the sink, Monday morning.

However police in Mukono have launched investigations into the suspected homicide.

Speaking about the developments both NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and the LOP Joel Ssenyonyi were very concerned and called for a robust investigations.

Ssenyonyi said that the tragedy reignited public concern about safety and accountability. “

”Mrs. Monica Nabukenya Kibalama, wife to Johnbosco Kibalama who was abducted on June 3, 2019, has been found dead in her bathroom,” Ssenyonyi said.

Police detectives from Mukono Central Division said the scene suggested possible foul play, though a postmortem report is awaited to determine the actual cause of death.

Some close family members and relatives described Nabukeera as “quiet but deeply troubled” since her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

Nabukeera’s husband, John Bosco Kibalama, was allegedly abducted in 2019, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja previously told Parliament that he had been arrested by state operatives, but the government has never formally accounted for him.

On the other hand, UPDF Spokesperson Brig. Felix Kulayigye claimed last year that Kibalama was “hiding in some country,” without specifying which one.

“This family has endured so much pain and uncertainty,” Ssenyonyi said. “May her soul rest in peace, and may justice one day be served.”
