A leading city pastor , Fred Muganga has surprised multitudes after he was implicated in a deliberate night fire in Ndeeba which left three people dead and millions lost.

Muganga who heads Springs of Love Miracle Centre church in Ndeeba a Kampala suburb was jointly charged with Shakur Bukenya for arson and criminal conspiracy among others.

The two were charged before Makindye grade one court, Her worship Phionah Birungi on Thursday.

Pastor Muganga was arrested after Bukenya who allegedly confessed to have set the fire told investigators that he was hired by the ‘man of God’ ,Muganga.

The fire which broke up at about 2 am on the night of November28,2025 in Kajubi zone, Ndeeba in Lubaga division Kampala city left three people dead and uncountable losses.

Its alleged that pastor Muganga is having a land wrangle with Mr James Musoke which could have caused him to plot this incident.

According to investigations, Bukenya aimed to destroy wooden structures on the land under contention but fire gutted all nearby wooden cottages where the deceased were found sleeping.

Bukenya was remanded until January 19,2026 while Muganga was released on a cash bail of 400,000 and 5,000,000 non cash for his surities as investigations continue.

But the development has surprised many people including his followers many of whom have started shunning his church.
