GOMBA.Police is counting the number of dead and injured students after a Chinese truck rammed into a classroom in Gomba.
The accident happened at Kasaka Senior Secondary school in Gomba district on Tuesday at 3:30 pm.
The driver of the Sino truck number UBL 790J lost control and rammed into the school fence, proceeded through to the school computer Lab that was occupied by students, killing a yet to be specified number.
A S5 student Evelyn Namagembe, Bosco Mawanda S2 and Hilda Asege S4 have so far beeno identified among the dead by Faridah Nampiima the traffic police spokesperson
“We have arrested the truck driver, one Wanume Abudala, a 26 year old. More details to be shared in due course,” said Nampiima in a statement on Tuesday evening.
