POLICE ROUNDS UP 25 SUSPECTED CRIMINALS IN KABALE 

Criminals in Kabaale

The territorial police in Kabale led by the district police commander SP Joseph Bakaleke through intelligence led operations carried out on different days during day and night operations arrested a number of suspected criminals that have been terrorizing people within different divisions of Kabale municipality.

Among them is one Solomon Musinguzi Erias Solo of Karugashi cell Butobere ward Central division, who was arrested from Bombokya entertainment center on the 22/03/2024 after him and others at large, allegedly injured and snatched a bag from Stella Komujuni a business lady within the municipality that contained a Samsung Galaxy A 50 smartphone worth 1.5 M UGX, a power bank, 10,000= and a bunch of keys which was on the 19/03/2024 at around 20:00 hours and was admitted at Bethel Surgery clinic Kigongi for some days.   According to Police, this is a renown thugs commander and will be charged with aggravated robbery vide Kabale on Ref.  CRB 281/2024.

21 others who have been arrested and are in detention include ;
1- Martin Ainamani,
2- Brian Niwagaba,
3- Ivan Kata,
4- Joab Musinguzi,
5- Erias Nasasira,
6- Hillary Tumwehe,
7- Yowasi Akandinda and,
8- Onesmus Oyinembabazi to mention but a few,
who were arrested from the areas of Rufura and around the main stadium, sleeping during the day on 02/04/2024 at around 14:30 hours, some of them were found in possession of opium, breaking implements, suspected stolen properties like ATM Cards, phones and other electronics and didn’t have their personal relevant documents and could not account for what they do generally.

Police PRO in Kigezi area  ASP ELLY Maate, said these operations will continue to crack down on the suspected wrong elements within Kabale municipality and the entire region, until sanity is restored.

He argued residents to report those incidents so that the police and other sister security agencies can plan to get rid of them than people taking it for granted and assume that the authorities are aware of these occurrences.
