ANOTHER Educational officer has been arrested by the State House Anti Corruption Unit working with Uganda police and the DPP’s office.
Miss Mutesi Amina, the Principal Education Officer Jinja City was arraigned before the Anti Corruption Court on charges of abuse of office.
She joins her co-accused Mulopa Haruna- Education Officer and Ngobi Samuel- Assistant Sports Officer who were earlier charged
Ms. Mutesi being a Principal Education officer abused her authority by irregulary ordering Head Teachers of several government aided schools in Jinja city, to divert UPE capitation grants that had been sent to their schools by government to other activities within the city.
This act contravenes with the UPE guidelines and Regulations for handling public funds.
She has been remanded.
